About This Room

ROOM126Suites

Our flagship room, crafted from Awaji Island materials and artisan skill.

A suite of approx. 153 m², with the Naruto Strait filling the windows. The walls were finished by a master plasterer, and the washi paper was handmade by a washi artisan. Island materials such as Awaji soil, washi, camphor wood, and roof tiles appear throughout the room.

A spacious room with a kitchen and dining table.
After enjoying a course dinner at the restaurant, come back for one more glass.
Spend a slow evening on the balcony, gazing at the sea.
Time spent this way is something only this room can offer.

Highlights

Only in This Room

01

As spacious as a home

At 153 m², it is closer in scale to a home than a hotel room. With separate dining, living, and sleeping areas, one person can sleep while another stays up. It is one of the few rooms where you don't have to fit your travel schedule to your companions'.

02

Walls made by Awaji's craftsmen

Surfaces plastered by a master plasterer and covered in handmade washi. The same wall shows a completely different face in the slanting morning light and the afterglow of evening. This is the only room where you can experience the island's craftsmanship not as a souvenir to take home, but as the space you wake up in.

03

Nights when you can skip the restaurant

This is the only room with a kitchen. It comes with an IH cooktop, a BALMUDA kettle and microwave oven, and even wine glasses. Open another bottle of island wine after dinner, or talk late into the night around the large dining table. Evenings like these are unique to this room.
